Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, or share any personal information.

All calendar selections, custom off-days, and preferences are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers.

Advertising

Date Wheel displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

Advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID) — used to serve relevant ads
Approximate location (country/region) — derived from IP, not GPS
Device information (OS version, device model) — for ad compatibility
Crash and diagnostic data — to improve SDK stability

AdMob’s data collection is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of personalised ads at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalised Ads.

Third-Party Services

Nager.Date — public holiday data fetched on demand, no personal data sent

Our apps are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My country’s holidays aren’t showing. A: Tap the flag chip in the top-left → select your country. Holidays load from the internet; make sure you have a connection on first use.

Q: How do I add a day off that repeats every other week? A: Tap the calendar icon → Custom Off Days → + → enable “Every other week” and pick the weekday and date range.

Q: My custom off-days disappeared after reinstalling. A: Custom data is stored locally. Reinstalling the app clears local storage — this is an iOS limitation.

Q: The working-day count seems wrong. A: Check that you’ve selected the correct country and state/province. Some regions have unique public holidays that differ from the national defaults.

Q: Can I use the app without an internet connection? A: Yes — once holiday data has been fetched for a country/year it is cached on-device and works offline.
